The overall mean ± SE hourly metres travelled by the newly castrated reindeer in natural pastures. The NSAID group (n = 8) was injected with 0.5 mg/kg meloxicam subcutaneously and the TRAD group (n = 8) was castrated without analgesia. The study reindeer were followed with GPS for the first 3 days after clamp castration. The blue shading indicates night-time h. Statistically significant differences tested with GEE model are marked with asterisks
