The distribution of effective treatment time in hours for each of the treatment regimens. Represents the number of hours where total benzylpenicillin plasma concentration exceeded 1 mg/L without an interruption of greater than 50% of the dosing interval. The treatment group nomenclature is: the medicinal product, either procaine benzylpenicillin in a water suspension (ETH) or procaine benzylpenicillin in an oil suspension (UPA); dose in mg/kg; dose frequency (once or twice daily) and treatment duration in days. For example, ETH20-2 × 3 should read as procaine benzylpenicillin in a water suspension 20 mg/kg bodyweight twice daily for three days
